I am tiling my bathroom floor to ceiling. Does it matter if the floor or walls are tiled first?

That choice is yours. I prefer the walls to overlap the floor in all areas but hey, that's just me.grin Makes for a cleaner look.grin

Same here, you can tile the walls first leaving the bottom row out, cut it in as you install the floor.grin

I agree, do the walls first to avoid walking and dropping mud or Mastic on the new floor, leaving out the bottom row, then do the floor and cut the bottom wall cuts to the floor and leave just enough room to grout. One other tip, if you are doing a tub surround, don't grout between the tub and tile, it will crack no matter what, instead, fill the tub with water, caulk around the tub and don't drain it for at least 24 hours.
