I bought Dupont StoneTech Professional "Advanced Grout Sealer" and now I'm not so sure I did the right thing. After reading all the warnings about Tile Perfect stand and seal and people ending up in the hospital, I'm wondering what your opinion is of this product, and spray sealers in general, and whether or not this particular one is safe. The lady at the Tile Outlet highly recommended it. Thanks

I bought the aerosol can. I went ahead and used it. I wore a mask, turned on the exhaust fan and ran another fan with the window opened. So far, so good. The smell wasn't that overpowering and it was very easy to use. It's been 2 hours since I sprayed on the second application and the smell is dissipating. Too soon to know if I'll be asphyxiated while sleeping, but I'll keep you posted. Anyone else had experience with this?

I have never found a sealer that actually does what it claims to. The only true way to keep grout beautiful for the life of the tile, is to use epoxy grout. It's a pain to use but, You can pour a bottle of red wine on a white epoxy grouted floor and no stains what so ever. Not so sure about some tile though.

I'm so pleased with the Dupont sealer. I used a fan and also the exhaust fan and it worked. I slept in the adjacent room 4 hours after sealing and no respiratory problems. The water beads on the grout, so I guess that means it's sealed. It was so quick and easy. I just sprayed at the grout joints and went back and wiped up the excess and it looks great. I did 2 coats. The really great thing is that you don't have to wait several hours after grouting to seal. That's just my experience and so far I'm pleased.
