Well here I am deep into my bathroom remodel and I am approacing the one tin I am dreadin the most. The shower pan. My shower will end up being a 3' X 7' masterpiece of tiling and plumbing. I hope.
My issue is this: I have done electical, plumbing, tile work, and pretty mush everythign else but I ave never done a shower pan.
I ave the concrete, the liner, the additive and a good idea of what needs to be done. I am just afraid I will mess it up.
The current plan is to tile teh shower floor, but if I screw up the pan I can see teh tile cracking and all kinds of bad things happening. I have seen some very impressive thingks done with river rock that would look sharp and adress this concern, but that seems liek a thing a guy could screw up.
My question: what are the common mistakes people make when doing their own shower pan and how can I avoid these same mistakes. |
