How do I use Warm Wire from Sun Touch under Ditra?

Like to use Warm Wire from Sun Touch under Ditra. The wire is pretty low profile but with the strap, is getting pretty tall. They recommend using 3/8”x3/8 trowel for the wire. Should I use double sided tape or hot melt to hold the wire in place to keep the profile down? Ditra recommends using 1/4”x 1/4” trowel and modified thin-set mortar between the membrane and (in this case) the plywood. Warm Wire calls for “always use polymer-modified cement-based mortar.” Also, how much down pressure should I put on the Ditra to imbed it properly?
