I am a little inexperienced when it comes to this stuff. Please bare with me. I have just taken a shop on rent. I find the existing tile absolutely repulsive. At the end of my lease my landlord wants his shop back in the same condition he rented it to me in.

This is my plan. His tile + plywood + My slate tile over plywood = his tile undamaged at the end of my lease.? Is this possible?

Thank you

Raven

Raven you'll never get the plywood to lay flat enough to accept slate. It will all bust up on you in a week or two. Sorry. For the same $$ go buy some laminate flooring with a slate pattern. Easy to install and IMO a better solutiongrin

Plus you may even be able to pop it all back up and take it withgrin

Thanks for your advice John. I'm really hung up on the slate. So I guess! Will just tile over the existing 12 x 12 glossy. grin
