pebble stone with subway tile installation

I'm planning a shower with Daltile pebble floors and Dal's white subway tiles. I want to put an accent band of the pebble tiles, about 6" high around the shower at eye level.
The pebble tile is thicker/deeper than the subway tile. How do I place/finish the accent band of pebbles without creating a ledge for standing water because it will standout from the subway tile wall?
