My tiler grouted the shower tiles with a beige grout, when it was applied it looked perfect. After it dried it was bright, bright white. He will be grouting the floor tomorrow. Do I get a colorant and redo the shower grout and a grout to match for the floor. I am just worried that the floor will turn out the same. We have confirmed that it is not the grout. As we mixed it and used it on some left over tiles and it dried perfectly. The tiler says he does not know what happened but he didn't do it. What would cause this?

What was used to clean it?

Usually the reason for washout of pigment is too much water in the mix or clean up. If the grout was allowed to dry to long, then they usually scrub the pigment off the top.

If you get the grout wet, does it look the correct color?
