Installing ceramic tile over existing tiles

I plan to install ceramic tile over the existing tiles in a bathroom on the second floor of my home. Is there an issue with "weight of tile over tile" since the bathroom is on the second level? |

Is there an issue with weight Probably not! If the existing tile and grout is sound and the additional height that will be produced isn't an issue and if the room is small the weight shouldn't pose any serious problems.  How big is the bathroom? |

Thanks for your response. One bathroom is 26sq. Ft. And the other bathroom is 40sq. Ft. |

Weight shouldn't be an issue in those cases. The existing tiles should be scuffed severly before adding to the top of them. |
