I need a box of these Interceramic tiles, 5 for sure.
See other post with box label. 4-5 years ago we tiled our house with these tiles and used the spares for a pantry jproject, now we would like to remove a stove in the family room that requires 16 tiles and I only have 11 left. Would buy a few boxes if I could. Thanks Chris

Is there any chance that I could pry out six of these in the center of the pantry and reuse them in the family room? I could lay a contrassing tile in the pantry. I have cleaned up the back of tile before with my air chisel. Is there a trick to getting them to come out in one piece. Might lose the first one? Six minus one equals the 5 I need.

Thanks Chris

If the tile was installed corretly, the chances of you getting 1 up, let alone 6 tiles is slim to none. Why not use a different tile under the stove to make it stand out. I'm pretty sure you are referring to a wood stove. What you could also do is get a boarder tile for accent then tile the center area on diagonal or brick pattern or even brick pattern on a diaganol. That would probably be a lot easier than finding the original tile.

No, we want to remove the stove and fill in the area with matching tile. And yes it was set on hardyboard with thinset correctly.

Well we removed 10 tiles from the pantry without damaging any of them. Dug out the grout line with the tool I have, hit them with a rubber mallet about 5 or 6 times, put now duck tape on the edge of the next tile and slowly worked up and down the side of the tile with a jimmy bar until they popped up.

Used my air muffler chisel with a 1 inch wide blade to clean up the hardy board and the back of the removed tiles.

Will lay new contrasting tiles at an angle in this area, and then it is onto the family room to remove the stove after boating season.

Thanks Chris
