Just looking for some feed back on heating cable. I am about to install 350 square feet of tile in a kitchen/ entry area. It would be nice to have this area heated. My solution (I think) is to install heating cable Is this a good Idea? Are there brands that are better than others? Any suggestions?
Thanking you in advance
John

Suntouch is all I will use anymore after installing several different brands and styles. Suntouch Mats are the most installer-friendly and I have never had a customer complaint in almost ten years.

Cover the mats with SLC.grin

Suntouch is a great product. I would also instead look at the warm wire by suntouch. The squair footage you have is probably not what you would be heating staying away from the walls aprox. 6 to 8 inches and kick plates of cabinetry maybe other areas. Every 10 sf. Needs 1 amp from braker wire heats 1-1/2 inch on both sides after 150 sf needs to go to a 220 circut. Amtilestone, com for a link to suntouch site.

Yes Bud that is a site you can buy from and have no face to face person to ask on or consult with. And maybe that is part of the problem of where our country is at with small business vs corporate business. Local vs not local.

Sorry my mistake, I moved too fast.

Here ya go, straight from the horses mouth. I see no reason to go through an unknown installers website to gain access to the Suntouch products. Anyone can arrange to buy direct from Suntouch via one of their mainstream suppliers. Suntouch will design the system and map the floor plan free of charge. A full-color PDF exclusive to your job can then be down loaded. They will include a list of suppliers for your area.grin
