Has anyone given easyboard a go- it almost seems to good to be true, but I mean if it can do a good job- heck why not? It's now being pushed hard at our local HD and is sold out while the hardibacker, durock, and wonderboard sits.

Can't seem to get the local HD to stock it. To special order it results in a price increase. Was told a year ago it was "on its way in the next thirty days". Still no Easyboard.

Reviews on the Internet are mixed but haven't seen any real serious complaints. Doesn't seam to be jumping off the shelves anywhere but where you are.grin

I assume that the sales staff at HD are pushing it the DIY's based on it's lightweight and people are going ooooh that's amazing- myself have picked up 20 sheets at once and admit if it does the job - what a backsave. I've heard that one of the main issues is driving nails/screws right through the board- but that might be a more amateur problem. By main concern is whether it is strong, regarless of customs assurance that it is- have you seen the video of the guy slamming the punching bag into it- I got a kick out of it.

Think they discontinued it, not sure.

But DensShield is the way to go for tub surrounds, little Redgard on the joints and nail heads and Whala, a waterproof installation that doesn't cost an arm and a leg quick and easy too.grin
