diagonal tile design

Is it a no no to tile a 1/2 bath with tiles from the floor to the ceiling? Also, is it weird to use a diagonal pattern on top and and straight pattern on the bottom part?

Please let me know, we are ready to do our bathroom but the installer said that all baths that he installed had the diagonal on the bottom part under the boarder.

I am no expert but I think that look would be fine. We are tiling our shower and toilet area with all the same tile from floor to ceiling. We have one row of diagonal in the middle and straight on top and bottom. My husband is working hard on it, can't wait for it to be dones. Good Luck with yours!

Get another bid from a different installer what you want is what should be done, the installer is just stating his opinion and you will be the one to live with what it looks like latter?

Anything is acceptable. You should find an installer that has more experience than this guy does.

Like stated above make sure he does what you like you will be living with it not him.
