I'm a contractor and have done many tile jobs dealing with transitions. But I'm not familiar with this one. I'm installing ceramic tile in a house with a concrete slab. Actually it's just the entry way in front of french doors. I have to cut out some carpet to lay the tile, the question I have is how do I reinstall the carpet to the concrete slab? Thanks, Kyle

There's tack strip with special concrete nails, but I've only ever achieved the ability to make craters when I try to nail them. There's special construction adhesive for tack to concrete, I think Roberts makes it but no one locally carries it anymore, maybe you can get it near you. Now I just remove the nails from the tack strip, mark the spots on the slab where the nail holes are on the tack, drill holes with my hammer drill and insert little plastic sleeve anchors and then screw down the tack strip. I always have the sleeves because I use them for screwing transitions down to slabs. They are not wall anchors, these expand evenly across the entire diameter.
