When installing 4x6 sanitary base do you set the base on the wall and bring the floor tile up to it?
Or lay the floor tile and put the base on to[p of it.
Thanks

Bring floor tile to the tile base.

There are many 4X6 base tiles. Typically "sanitary base" (#3419) refers to tiles that are finished both on the top edge and on the toe edge and would sit atop the floor tile. To install the floor to them is doable but would create an undesireable grout width.

The 4X6 (#3461) would require tile set-to the base both top and floor.grin

Sanitary base is made to be set on top of the already installed floor tiles. It was first made many years ago when bathroom walls were not all tiled as they used to be. Bud is right on.
