Is it okay to use porcelin tile in a high traffic area?
Also is it okay to use mastic adhesive with this tile?

If you are using porcelain tile in a high traffic area, it's preferable if you get one that is through bodied, that way there is no wear layer. As for mastic, NO not at all. Use thinset only on floors, and on walls, thinset is better and cheaper to use.

It can be a glazed porcelain as well, just get one with a PEI rating of 4 or 5, which most of em are anyway.grin

The reason I said Through body, depending on what volume of "high traffic", I have seen glazed porcelain wear through.
