Thanks Ceramictec for the other post, still seems like nobody likes or hates it. Maybe I'll just win the lottery and call it a day thanks again. D. I Tile |

Thanks Carter for your response as well. Already installed (not by me) on walls, seems a little flimsy but will get back to the forum after installed tile and will ad to the post. Thanks again. D. I Tile |

I used the easyboard when I tile my counter top. It has worked well. I like it because it is lite and did not add extra weight on the counter. |

This stuff sucks. Calling the MFG to get my floor replaced. Followed instructions and the grout is cracking. Tile is next to crack |

Boy John what did you do wrong? The 1/4" which is for the floor meets light commercial rating. Did you forget the thinset under the board or did you use 1/2' on the floor? Maybe your coverage under the tile is inadequate. I've installed thousands of square feet without a problem. Hmmmm. |

John,
Good luck, don't hold your breath.
We'd appreciate a detailed description of how you installed the floor. There is no way the product doesn't do what it's supposed to if installed according to instructions. If you've found a problem, please save us.

I've used Easyboard on a couple of floor installations And so far no problems. Of course these are recent Installations, so time will tell.
I love the ease of installation and handling.
I don't think I will use it on my shower tile Installation though, it just seems too flimsy For that. |

Easyboard is not made for floors, its says right on the board in print. For walls and countertops. It has no strength for foot traffic. You don't walk on your shower walls. You do sometimes kneel or stand on your countertops and for this reason I never use it for countertops. I would describe the material of this board as basically foam, and sure the board gets strength when thinset is applied, but if you walked over this foam board it will compress and create movement, the #1 killer of tile jobs. It is great for walls and pesky niches, cuts indoors with ease. No dust. |

1/2" easyboard is not for floors, but 1/4" easyboard is for floors. Check out the cbp website. |
