Cutting 1/2 inch Cement Board

What is the best way to cut cement board. Can it be scribed and bent like sheetrock or is there a special tool

That's the way THEY say it can be done but frankly it's a bitch. I saw it when I use it but you have to do it outside.grin

I score it with an angle grinder and diamond blade.grin

Exactly - angle grinder with a diamond blade. I also have a 4-1/2" diamond blade on a 5" Skil saw to use with a straightedge.

Thats' why I went to Hardiebacker. I can shear it and it is dustless.grin

I used a 7-1/4" circular saw with a masonary blade. It makes quite a bit of dust, but if you get one with a smaller kerf then it is not as bad. Cuts like a hot knife through butter!
