Currently I have 12 inch ceramic tiles on a backer board that is screwed into a subfloor. My plans are to remove a fiberglass shower unit and a couple of walls, make the shower larger and use tiles for the walls.
Since there is no way to get matching tiles for the shower I would have to remove the current tiles on the floor. My question is, how do I go about removing the tile (best way)? I do not plan to reuse the tiles.
Does the thinset come off the backer board pretty easy?
Or will it destroy the backer board?
Thanks RJ

All you can do is get after it. You may and more than likely will destroy the backerboard.grin
