Does anyone have any experience with the installation and the wear for Trafficmaster ceramica floor tile? These are the self stick groutable vinyl tiles that look like real ceramic tiles. We want to put this in a bathroom that suffers from a cold floor so we don't want to go the real stone/ceramic route. I read some real horror stories about Trafficmaster "Grout" and don't want to get duped into a bad product. Is the self stick enough or should I use a construction cement for longevity? Does real grout work with these vinyl tiles? Should I use spacers with these tiles to get even lines? Any advice will be wonderful!

Thanks!
Cjh

Sorry I only install the real deal, but if the floor is cold why not consider having a heated floor put in. Most of them are not hard to install at all and they use very low voltage. In a bathroom it should be pretty inexpensive to do.

I have recently installed the Trafficmaster groutable vinyl tile in two bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and front and back foyer. I did it myself following Trafficmaster's directions. I decided not to use the grout. The floors came out beautifully, look and feel like real stone or ceramic tiles. I couldn't be happier. I will stress that it is important to have the tiles at 60 degrees for 48 hrs before installing them. It makes for a beautiful and tight fit of the tiles. And by the way, the glue they use on the peel and stick really grabs. It's excellent quality. So take your time placing the tiles to get them where you want them the first time.

But you have no vested interest in the company or the future sales of the product?grin Is that correct? You are merely a Harry Homeowner?grin
